FrecciaRosa 2025 in Lazio - vaccines and medical screening at Scalo San Lorenzo
The FrecciaRosa prevention truck returns to Scalo San Lorenzo, in FS Logistix’s premises.
The initiative, promoted in collaboration with ASL Roma 1 and La Sapienza University of Rome, will be held on Tuesday 21 October in Viale dello Scalo di San Lorenzo 16, and will offer free breast cancer prevention screening and HPV vaccination.
Specifically, the following services will be available: Pap test/HPV test (for 25 to 64 years old, resident in the ASL Roma 1 area), HPV vaccination (for boys and girls in the 11 to 26 age bracket without distinction of residence or domicile), mammography (women aged 45 to 49 with mandatory reservation, and aged 50 to 74 with free access, both resident in the ASL Roma 1 area), colon-rectum kit delivery (men and women aged 50 to 74), flu vaccination and HCV screening.
During the day, Fondazione IncontraDonna volunteers will distribute the 'Health Vademecum', drawn up in collaboration with the Ministry of Health. In addition, it will be possible to access the screening booking service for the entire Lazio region, and awareness-raising activities on active prevention campaigns will be carried out.
The initiative aims to replicate the great success of 2024, with over 200 free medical treatments provided to around 150 people, including cancer screening, and HPV and flu vaccinations.
FrecciaRosa is the breast cancer prevention campaign promoted by Fondazione IncontraDonna and FS Group: for the entire month of October, it will provide consultations on board High-speed, Intercity and Regionale trains.
The event - which, with 15th editions under its belt, has become a moment of great social and health value over time - is supported by the Ministry of Health and the Prime Minister's Office and, for the third year running, has been awarded the prestigious Medal of the President of the Republic.
In the last edition, the project reached 42 million passengers, with 1,500 services provided, 46 trains, over 100 doctors and volunteers involved and 22,708 copies of the 'Health Vademecum' distributed
