FS Logistix presents its innovations at transport logistic in Munich
Munich, 4 June 2025 - A new era for FS Group logistics kicked off with the international presentation of the new FS Logistix brand and the integrated digital platform for end-to-end freight transport fslogistix.com. A project that marks the beginning of an ambitious journey to transform and relaunch freight transport, with a clear vision: to build an increasingly integrated, sustainable and customer-oriented European logistics system.
The event took place at the transport logistic fair in Munich and follows the official launch in Rome on May 26
“After the launch of our new brand and digital platform in Rome, today we are proud to present ourselves to international stakeholders and clients in this new look, at the most important trade fair in the sector,” said Sabrina De Filippis, CEO of FS Logistix. “A step up that underlines our increasingly international character, consolidating a path that began with the entry of Exploris into the TX Logistik family. Thanks to the new industrial plan, we propose ourselves as an aggregator for logistics operators to cover the entire value chain.”
A digital platform to connect supply and demand
The new platform presented in Munich is the first concrete result of the FS Group's Strategic Plan 2025-2029 for logistics, which envisages 2.16 billion euros of investment. An evolution that, among others, focuses on the pillar of Digitalization to better respond to the needs of a constantly evolving market, through a completely client centric approach. Designed as a single interface for Italian and international customers, the digital platform enables the integrated management of the entire logistics chain, combining rail-road-sea, with customized solutions, end-to-end traceability and sustainability. An innovative digital infrastructure in which the eight companies that make up the FS Group's logistics division are integrated, serving 7 industrial supply chains with 21 transport and logistics services. The Widget is the beating heart of the new site: by completing the fields, it allows users to send their transport requests to FS Logistix, accompanying the user from the first contact to the final solution, enabling the one-click experience.
FS Logistix: the new name for the logistics of the FS Group
The birth of the FS Logistix brand marks a step change for FS Logistics. With a presence in 22 countries, seven operating companies and more than 50 million tons of freight transported each year, FS Logistix takes up the legacy of Mercitalia Logistics with the aim of becoming a European Freight Forwarder, an operator capable of managing the entire logistics value chain on a continental level. A new naming conceived precisely to enhance the evolution of the Company towards a markedly European profile thanks to clarity and dynamism, immediate association with the business offered, international recognition and reference to the FS holding company.
The evolution of NiK, the system to facilitate intermodality
Another important innovation presented at the fair is the new concept of NiK, the handling system which allows non-craneable trailers to be loaded onto rails quickly and easily. TX Logistik AG has reorganized the use of its NiKRASA system to transfer even more traffic to rail in the future. An evolution that also brings a new brand, NiK – Neutral Intermodal Key: the new setup will allow the system to become independent and to exploit its strengths even better, transferring non-craneable semi-trailers onto rails in just two and a half minutes.
Investment, sustainability and innovation at the heart of the strategy
The FS Group's strategic roadmap envisages targeted investments for fleet renewal (110 electric locomotives, 25 shunting locomotives, 2,000 new-generation wagons, a green ship for the ferry over the Strait of Messina), terminal development and process digitalization. All this with a strong focus on environmental sustainability, energy efficiency and emission reduction, in line with the FS Group's climate objectives.
