Logistics and Training: ITS Caboto makes strategic agreement with FS Logistix

Important agreement between ITS Academy G. Caboto and FS Logistix. This significant partnership opens up new apprenticeship prospects for students.
It is a collaboration between two important entities operating in closely related sectors: FS Logistix, a leading logistics and freight transport company in Italy and Europe, and ITS Academy Giovanni Caboto, a training institution that trains students for the logistics sector.
For the first time, these two organisations have decided to combine their expertise in a common project, aimed at helping young people enter the labour force through concrete and targeted experiences.
Seven students from Caboto Academy’s Civitavecchia branch have been selected to complete a six-month training, starting in July.
‘Our Academy is proud to have established such an important partnership with FS Logistix’ said Cesare d’Amico, president of ITS Caboto. ‘One of our main goals is ensuring quality training and having companies to share stimuli, projects and goals with. This partnership with FS Logistix marks a milestone for logistics courses and opens up new and interesting opportunities for our students.’
The agreement between the two organizations concerns the launch of a training programme aimed at students who are completing their studies in the field of logistics. Seven ITS Caboto students have the opportunity to be placed in FS Logistix operational departments, where they will be able to observe the sector dynamics up front, actively participate in daily activities, and develop technical and soft skills fundamental for their future careers.
‘People are an enabling factor in our strategic plan’ said Sabrina De Filippis, CEO of FS Logistix. ‘Now more than ever, their training and skill development is indispensable to meet the challenges of modern logistics, by strengthening and enhancing the expertise we need in such an ever-changing landscape. Part of this direction is the partnership with ITS Caboto - an example of a collaborative ecosystem aimed at ongoing training and shared knowledge to meet the challenges of intermodal logistics. We are proud of this strategic understanding that combines technical expertise with further education and technology.’
This partnership between ITS Caboto and FS Logistix stems from the awareness, shared by both parties, of how important an ever closer connection between training and the labour market actually is. In a constantly changing sector such as logistics, where digitisation, automation and sustainability are profoundly altering many processes and skills, it is essential to offer young people the opportunity to measure themselves against business realities in a guided and educational setting.
This kind of experience is an added value not only for students, but also for those companies that decide to invest in on-field training. Welcoming trainees means actively contributing to building tomorrow's professionals, creating a pool of young talents potentially ready for employment, and bringing fresh ideas and new points of view into the company.
The agreement was developed with care and attention, so that each apprenticeship stage meets clearly defined educational and professional objectives. Students will be supervised by company tutors and can count on constant coaching, designed to ensure progressive and structured learning.
Looking ahead, ITS Caboto and FS Logistix’ hope is for this collaboration to become a model that can be consolidated and expanded. Their intention is to pursue this direction, by opening up new pathways and involving an increasing number of students and company departments over time.
To all intents and purposes, this agreement represents a virtuous example of training-business synergy: a concrete response to the need to prepare new generations for the challenges of the labour market and, at the same time, an opportunity to strengthen the productive fabric through innovation and enhanced skills.
