FS Logistix Wins Trenord Tender for Spare Parts Logistics

• Contract worth €17.5 million over 4 years

Milan, 3 October 2024 - Mercitalia Logistics, the leading company of the FS Group’s FS Logistix, has won the Trenord tender, the company managing regional, suburban, and airport rail services in Lombardy, for the railway logistics and transport of spare parts for passenger trains.

 

The activities will be carried out at Trenord’s six maintenance sites, all in Lombardy, with some services operating 24/7. This is a crucial task for the railway maintenance of Trenord’s fleet.

 

The contract lasts for 4 years, with a possible 12-month extension, for a total value of approximately €17.5 million.

The activities include transporting spare parts by truck from maintenance facility warehouses to Trenord’s workshops and to suppliers and repair companies, both in Italy and abroad.

Additional services include document transport to/from Trenord sites (including stations and ticket offices), exceptional transports, hazardous goods transport, moving of furniture and equipment, urgent deliveries with dedicated express vehicles, international transport, and crane services.

 

The logistics offer is completed by warehouse services at Trenord’s facilities, which include material handling, storage, and inventory management.
