FS Italiane, the Subsidiary TX Logistik acquires the German Group Exploris, active in Rail Freight Transport

TX Logistik AG, a company of the FS Italiane Group’s Logistics Hub, has signed the purchase agreement for the acquisition of Exploris Deutschland Holding GmbH Hamburg (“Exploris” or the “Exploris Group”), a rail freight transport company operating in Europe, becoming the second largest freight operator in Germany by Tkm.

 

Through the companies of Exploris Deutschland Holding GmbH Hamburg, including Via Cargo, HSL Logistik, and Delta Rail, the Logistics Hub will operate in rail freight transport across eight European countries.

 

The completion of the transaction (closing) is subject to the fulfillment of standard suspensive conditions for this type of deal, including approval from the relevant Antitrust Authorities.

 

Exploris' international rail connections are strongly oriented towards east-west transport, thereby complementing the TX Logistik network, which is already well established along the north-south Europe axis.

 

The acquisition further strengthens the FS Group’s presence in the European market, enriching the traffic flows to and from Italy, also benefiting the import and export services for Italian industry.
