THE BUSINESS CHALLENGE

Baraclit, a Tuscan prefabricated construction company internationally recognized for its highly innovative and aesthetic projects, and FS Logistix have long been working together for integrated and sustainable transport. First they created an iron-rubber-sea synergy for the transport of prefabricated concrete from Tuscany to Sardinia, then they created a rubber-iron synergy for the transport of prefabricated buildings from Tuscany to Campania. The concrete products, made by Baraclit in its factory in Bibbiena (AR), are loaded onto the means of transport made available by the various FS Logistix companies to reach the various construction sites. These modes of transport allow a huge number of trucks to be taken off the roads and avoid the emission of tons of CO₂.

880
fewer trucks on the roads
450
approximately tons of C0₂ emitted less than transport by heavy vehicle on the road

“We strongly believed in this sustainable mobility project right from the start, committing ourselves to creating a low-emission intermodal network system in partnership with FS Logistix.”

Luca Bernardini, CEO Baraclit

THE TRANSFORMATION

Baraclit, once again, was able to demonstrate its organizational capacity and the characteristic, unique in the sector, of having a direct connection between the production plant in Bibbiena (AR) and the national railway system, thanks to FS Logistix.

A connecting piece that allowed the company to load the prefabricated elements from the heart of the factory onto the train, to then reach the destination locations.

The services we offered

The coordinated integration of rail-ship-road and rubber-iron freight transport methods are important examples of what FS Logistix is able to offer. An approach that starts first of all from the cultural innovation that the FS Logistix is experiencing: the customer and his demand at the center of the operational processes, partnerships and synergies as musts of the industrial plan, environmental, economic and social sustainability as a beacon for achieving the challenging objectives that FS Logistix wants to achieve to become a European logistics player.

"This synergy is a concrete example of how we are implementing our positioning strategy in the logistics market.”

Sabrina De Filippis, CEO FS Logistix
